Leeza Bradford

Global Development Assistant
Oceana Staff

Leeza, originally from Russia, joined Oceana in October 2016. She gradually moved across several temporal positions until finally transitioning into the role of Global Development Assistant in April 2017.

Prior to Oceana, Leeza held a few different positions in the academic sector. Most recently she was the Director’s Assistant for a study abroad program in Moscow. There she helped shape the curriculum by creating weekly excursion schedules, stepping in as a tour guide, and helping students from James Madison University with the cultural and linguistic transition. Leeza graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from George Mason University, majoring in Conflict Analysis and Resolution and Spanish. During her last semester there, she was a Research Assistant, a position in which she researched the Accomarca Massacre in Peru, focusing on trials and accountability. In her free time, Leeza loves to hike with her cat, Yasha, and her husband, Michael. She also loves to travel, draw, swim and explore new places. Leeza is very excited to work alongside a talented group joined by an important cause to protect the world’s oceans.
