Terra Pascarosa is the Virginia Campaign Organizer for Oceana.
Terra has over twenty years of experience as an advocate for social justice and environmental issues working with a diverse group of organizations including her own consulting firm, Moms Clean Air Force, Pew Environment Group, Natural Resources Defense Council, Chesapeake Health Department, Sierra Club, Chesapeake Bay Restoration Fund, and Science Applications International Corporation.
Coupled with her educational background from Old Dominion University as a geologist and environmental scientist, Terra considers herself very blessed to work on projects that enhance and protect the world in which we live. She did not miss her calling, as her given name Terra literally means “earth.”
Terra is the proud mother of a five-year-old activist son. He is her proudest achievement and often travels and advocates with Terra for campaigns around the U.S. Terra was born and raised on the Chesapeake Bay in Hampton Roads, Virginia and the Appalachian Mountains of Southwest, Virginia. She grew up skiing, snowboarding, fishing, hiking, camping, and playing on the beach with a family of naturalists, fisherman, and scientists who taught her to protect the world in which we live. She avidly loves the outdoors and wants to ensure current and future generations can enjoy the simplicity of nature that she works so hard to protect.
