Will joined Oceana in 2015. He received a B.S. in Political Science and Mass Communications: Public Relations from Towson University and is currently pursuing a Masters in Political Management from George Washington University. While working as the Student Director for TU’s largest community service project, The Big Event, and interning with local Congressman Ruppersberger, Will discovered a passion for community engagement.
Will coordinated Clean Water Action’s field outreach program for the Baltimore area and helped pass a ban on plastic ‘biodegradable’ microbeads in Maryland, organized state and local election campaigns, and developed environmental programs for Baltimore communities. After growing up on the Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic Coast, Will is passionate about protecting our oceans, national resources, and active citizen engagement in the process.
