Nancy came on board in August 2017 to work to stop the expansion of offshore drilling and build support for Oceana’s campaigns in Southern California.
Prior to joining Oceana, Nancy was on the frontlines of protecting the SoCal coastline as both a volunteer grassroots activist, and for twelve years as the Southern California’s Regional Manager for Surfrider Foundation. She led numerous campaigns and educational programs on marine protected areas, wetland restoration, beach renourishment projects, urban runoff and marine littler reduction. Prior to her career in environmental advocacy, Nancy was pursuing her passion for the music business in New York City and Los Angeles, where she gained wide project management experience in radio promotion and music marketing. Nancy believes that effective outreach and education combined with the public's love for the coast and ocean will result in a long-term victory for our coasts and oceans.
