Born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina, Riley’s love for the oceans began early.

After graduating with a B.S. in Animal and Veterinary Science from Utah State University (Go Aggies!) Riley packed her bags and moved to Brisbane, Australia to pursue a M.S. in Conservation Biology at the University of Queensland. While there, she had the opportunity to study under leading conservationists and further cemented her call to help protect the world’s oceans. Most recently Riley worked as an analyst for Google’s Brand Love program running a variety of projects including sourcing, evaluating, and tracking strong partnerships with social influencers and content creators, reporting on outreach and ROI targets, and developing new reporting strategies across five global and national social media teams. As a Digital Marketing Specialist at Oceana Riley is excited to combine her experience in the social sphere with her education and passion for ocean conservation.
