Oceana’s IT department is looking for someone to assist with day-to-day computer support and provide Tier I and II global support to ensure user needs are being met. The IT Helpdesk Assistant provides services to 220+ users and 250+ computers in 18+ international offices across 24 time zones providing efficient, effective, and timely service to staff. She/he also processes new employee and termination requests, provides IT training and onboarding orientations, and prepares and maintains Windows and MacOS workstations, applies workstation and server upgrades and creates and maintains relevant documentation. The position supports global IT projects as required.
This position will report to the Senior Systems and Helpdesk Manager while assisting the IT Team in resolving technical issues in Oceana’s infrastructure, including servers, workstations, printers, network devices and software. This is a full-time position based in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree and 1+ year(s) of experience in the IT field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required competencies for this position are resourceful, action oriented, instills trust, customer focused and easily adapts to technology changes.
