Oceana’s Office of the CEO is looking for an Executive Assistant. This is a unique opportunity for someone who is interested in both management and ocean conservation.
The Executive Assistant is a person who thrives in fast-paced environments with rapidly changing needs, is comfortable multi-tasking and handling highly confidential matters with tact and discretion while maintaining a collaborative alliance with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and must be willing to accept a varied and demanding workload, long hours and hard deadlines. This is a full-time position based in Washington, DC. This position reports to the Manager of Executive Operations. A Bachelor’s degree, and 3 years of relevant experience is required.

As of June 1, 2022, Oceana’s US offices have operated on a hybrid schedule. This schedule is mandatory and staff are required to work from their assigned office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. With agreement between the employee and their supervisor, the employee may work from home Monday and Friday.
