Policy Analyst, Global Fisheries Transparency Coalition
Are you a research and analysis professional with experience in marine policy issues or environmental advocacy campaigns? Are you interested in ocean governance, fisheries management, and equitable development? Come join the team helping to build and launch a global coalition of civil society partners seeking to bring transparency and greater accountability to the national and international policies governing fisheries worldwide.
Reporting to the coalition director, the policy analyst will be responsible for overseeing the development of coalition reports, policy briefings, and other research on a variety of topics, as well as tracking relevant international legislation and regulations in target regions and countries. The policy analyst will work closely with the director, Steering Committee, and our membership to identify best practices in global fisheries policy. You will represent the coalition as an expert in relevant international and national fora.
Ideally, you bring experience in marine conservation and international fisheries policy research and analysis. Strong candidates will have real-world experience working with global partners in international settings.

Oceana’s US offices have operated on a hybrid schedule and staff have been required to work from their assigned office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. With agreement between the employee and their supervisor, the employee may work from home Monday and Friday. Oceana continually evaluates safety protocols and updates our practices on an ongoing basis based on the CDC community level color coding system of green, yellow and red.
