Marine mammals, such as whales and dolphins, are some of the most beloved creatures in the ocean. Each year, thousands of marine mammals are killed by commercial fishing operations in U.S. waters. According to the U.S. Commission on Ocean Policy, this bycatch is one of the biggest threats to the future of marine mammal populations.
