88% of Oregon Voters Support State Policies That Reduce Single-Use Plastic
In March 2023, Oceana released an Oregon statewide poll (link to results below) finding that 88% of Oregon voters support local and state policies that reduce single-use plastic. The vast majority of voters (76%) support policies that reduce the use of plastic foam foodware, packing peanuts, and coolers. Also included among the findings: 92% say they are concerned about plastic pollution and its impact on the environment and our oceans; 91% are concerned about single-use plastic products; and 89% support requiring companies to reduce single-use plastic packaging and foodware.
The poll, conducted by the nonpartisan polling company Ipsos, surveyed roughly 412 adults in Oregon between Dec. 12 and 19, 2022.
