Oceana does its best to get the message out to protect sharks, but apparently sharks are not getting the message. CNN had a story today about a sand tiger shark at the Minnesota aquarium named Jesse (appropriately after the former governor of the North Star State, Jesse “The Body” Ventura
It seems Jesse has a history of eating fellow tank-mates, and recently had a small white tip shark in its mouth for several moments before care takers could coerce the larger shark to let go. The white tip is expected to recover. There is nothing newsworthy about a shark eating another shark. That’s just nature. Reacting to the way the way reporter sensationalizes it (as usual with sharks), I feel like we need to get Bunk and McNulty to investigate. CNN, don’t we have more important things to cover?
