Otto’s Revenge

Oh, boy. In case you doubted the octopus’s intelligence, listen to this story about one German aquarium’s Otto, a disgruntled cephalopod who short-circuited the aquarium’s 2000 watt electricity supply by shooting water at it in annoyance. And no, this is not another cephalopod item from the Onion.One aquarium worker is quoted:”Once we saw him juggling the hermit crabs in his tank, another time he threw stones against the glass damaging it. And from time to time he completely re-arranges his tank to make it suit his own taste better – much to the distress of his fellow tank inhabitants.” So perhaps Otto is a bit of a diva, but I think we all can empathize — sometimes those bright fluorescent lights are enough to make you blow a fuse…
