This week in ocean news, …11 leatherback sea turtles started the Great Turtle Race from Canadian foraging grounds to Caribbean nesting beaches. …The Oceans4Ever ladies learned about Macaroni and Gentoo penguins. …A study examining coral fossils suggested that sea levels could rise suddenly because of global warming….Japan’s Sekisei Lagoon Reef is undergoing “one of the largest coral restoration projects in the world,” though some are asking if the time and money are worthwhile….Save the Bay launched a cleverly done video to get plastic bags out of San Francisco Bay.
