Courtney has worked in the nonprofit sector for over thirteen years. She worked at a Community Foundation with donors and their donor advised funds and did major gift fundraising at a national and then regional environmental organization. Prior to working in philanthropy, she worked in the entertainment industry, primarily in feature casting. Courtney holds a B.S. from Georgetown University and spent her junior year abroad at the Université de Paris Sorbonne.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Courtney enjoys hiking, cooking (especially soups), visiting museums, being a soccer aunt and traveling the world.
