Emma joins Oceana as a Science & Strategy Intern.

She holds a B.S. in Marine Science & Conservation from Duke University and an M.P.S. in Marine Conservation from the University of Miami. During her master’s program, she interned with Marine Conservation Institute and completed a project that evaluated the effectiveness of marine protected areas worldwide. Emma also has experience researching plastic pollution in the open ocean, a project she did for her undergraduate thesis. She is excited to begin her career in marine conservation and contribute to the initiatives of the Science & Strategy team.
