Kat joined Oceana as the Policy Intern in June 2025.

She holds a Master’s in Environmental Science and Management from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a Bachelor’s of Science in Animal Science from the University of Connecticut. She was previously working for the National Wildlife Federation as their Marine Conservation Policy Fellow and has started her own consulting business to assist non-profits with their various community engagement projects! She translates her passion for the ocean through her career and is excited to be continuing to do this at Oceana with such talented individuals. In her free-time she enjoys SCUBA diving, reading, and lobbying her partner for more cats.
